The boys of One Direction continue to stay busy during the band’s hiatus.
First, former One Directioner Zayn Malik stepped out with his own solo material, and now Niall Horan has just released a solo single called ‘This Town’!

In signing with Capitol Records USA, Niall joins former band mates Harry Styles and Liam Payne as 1D members who have signed solo deals; of course former One Direction member Zayn released his own debut solo album Mind of Mine earlier this year.
This Town is a slower tempo record (think Ed Sheeran) and already has ‘Directioners’ all in their feelings!

Could a duet also be on the horizon?
Back in February, Pickering, Ontario native Shawn Mendes revealed that he was going to be working together with Niall.
He told the UK’s Daily Star, “I’ll definitely be working with Niall very soon. I got a chance to speak to him recently and we are definitely going to write together… We are going into the studio as soon as we can get our diaries together and see what we come up with. “I would love to do something for my next record as well as his – we will have to wait and see.”
He added, “I think they are all great, I just know Niall better and we have become closer than I have with the others.”
He confirmed this week during an appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden that the two are “definitely” working together.
